According to The Anxiety and Depression Association of America, An estimated 284 million people experienced an Anxiety Disorder in 2017, making it the most prevalent mental health disorder around the globe.

If you’re one of the 200+ million, don’t be alarmed, because then you’re part of a very large statistic in the world. You’re not alone.

Read on, and find out how you can calm your worries away.

Jot down your worries, and think about why they’re worrying to you

Studies say that writing down our thoughts and worries can lessen their effect because then we can assess our thoughts as if it’s real and palpable. Try to do it until all the things you worry about lose its weight and effect.

For example, if you write “I’m afraid I don’t have enough money” — and read that sentence over and over again, at some point, that thought will be less scary.

Okay, you will not have enough money. So what?

You can always find the solution to that situation, and use your time more productively by preparing for that exact worrying situation. Try to find humor in that situation will help too. Not everything in life needs to be taken seriously.
